The Shed Cluster Group strives to improve the quality of life for men by addressing men’s health issues and the need for organised but low level/achievable activities for mature people.

Where is THE SHED?     

 It’s located inside the Recycle Centre at 360 Soldiers Point Road in Salamander Bay.


What happens at the THE SHED? 

  • You can make things for yourself using our tools and expertise.
  • You can help us make things for community projects.
  • You can just come along for the companionship.

 The Salamander Shed is unique as we can source most of our material from the Recycling centre.

When is THE SHED open?

THE SHED is open Monday to Friday 8:00am-1:00pm. Meetings are held every second Tuesday of the month at 9:30am.

What can THE SHED offer you?

  • Companionship - it can be place to go, a place to meet people like you;
  • Communication - with like minded individuals;
  • Activity- work on your own projects or on community projects;
  • Tools - you get to use tools without the expense of buying your own;
  • Skills - keep your skills in woodwork, metalwork, mechanics, electronics, crafts and other activities, perhaps improve them or learn new ones.

What can you offer THE SHED?

  • Willingness, to be involved and help;
  • Time, to meet others and work with a friendly group;
  • Communication, with like minded individuals;
  • Companionship, with people like you;
  • Skills, share any skills you possess.
